about

A completely new recording of this standard picked up in Canada and often performed live by Phil over the last 20 years and here with Paul and Bobby lending a little vocal accompaniment.

“I first heard this sung by Weddings, Parties, Anything when we were sharing a few beers with them in the backstage area of Winnipeg Folk Festival 1989. This was the first time we’d played Canada and were pretty overwhelmed by the incredibly enthusiastic reception. We gigged in a packed outdoor tent and drank beer from the upper Canada Brewery. We bonded with the Weddo’s and remain mates to this day. I thank them for introducing me to this song and the talented Stan Rogers.”
