Joe Zux Love the acoustic interpretations of many of these classics. Well worth it.

richardw27 A great collection of TMTCH favourites old and new. Beautiful acoustic playing by Paul & Swill, with Swill's rich vocals sounding as good as ever. 2 pints of Guinness or 11 songs - I think they made the right choice. A real treat for these strange and sad times.

Magnus Unden Bought on the Friday of course to endorse as much as possible.. happy to see ballad favorites Parted From You and Island In The Rain included! Greenback Dollar is a surprise here but what a great one.. the old 7” have run its rounds over the years... Stay strong and keep the faith in these hard times! His Latest Flame would go nice with this Singing Elvis!! Favorite track: Greenback Dollar (Folk at the Fortress).

Folk At The Fortress - Gatefold Card Sleeve

One day in 2002 TMTCH were recording what would be our 7th Studio album The Cherry Red Jukebox. This day, however, things weren’t going quite so well. Some of us were still pissed from the night before and recording was a shambles. It was decided that the best thing to do was to quit for the day and go to the local pub instead.

Just as we were about to head out a thought struck (we were just about to walk out of a great studio that we still had to pay for) so I asked Paul to if he fancied putting some acoustic tracks down anyway before we joined the rest of the gang. In about the time it takes to down two pints of Guinness we stood in a corner of the studio and had some fun with these 11 tracks. A bit rough around the edges (as were we), some of these are versions of songs that were later to be recorded properly for the album. Some are versions of songs you may already know. These recordings have been unavailable for 19 years but now, with no gigs for over a year due to covid, seems like time to dig them out again and split any proceeds with Paul. Enjoy our little ragged session from Fortress Studios.
